As I stared into the clear night sky last summer, the words that bubbled up into my consciousness were, “I want to go home.” And with that simple thought, those few words, my soul set into motion the final leg of this incarnation, which is a journey that is turning out to be a little more rapid than I would have guessed at the time and more beautiful and meaningful than I ever could have imagined.
Each of us arrives on the planet with a mission, a plan, specific lessons to accomplish. Some lifetimes seem to be relatively free of major cataclysmic events and some lifetimes seem to be an almost unending laundry list of them. And as I learned thru evolutionary astrology, there’s no judgment as to which kind of lifetime any particular soul is experiencing, it simply is. Sometimes we need a “break,” and sometimes we “go for it,” so to speak-to take on as much as we can in order to make as much progress as possible–to speed up our overall evolutionary journey.
Well, this has been one of those lifetimes: A lifetime designed to make as much progress as possible, and therefore, one that was filled with more challenges than my ego sometimes thought was necessary, desirable, or even doable.
And now as I begin to really wind down this particular incarnation, I am able to reflect on the whole picture–rather than just the smaller episodes-in a way that brings the meaning of each event into greater clarity as a part of the whole that leads to my next incarnation.
All of us make this final journey in each lifetime, but I do feel particularly blessed to be aware so that I can make the most of it. I am also incredibly blessed to have the support and guidance of my spiritual teacher, Tayo, so that I can make my transition in the best way possible for the purposes my soul desires. I intend to share this final leg of my journey as long as my health allows.
