Welcome to Blue Lotus Letters. My name is Adina Mather, and I am a Certified Evolutionary Astrologer. I also hold certificates in Hypnotherapy and Reiki II. I earned a B.S. degree in English from Kent State University, a Certificate in Theological Studies from the School of Theology, University of the South, and am a Kriyaban member of Self-Realization Fellowship, founded by Paramahansa Yogananda.

I first learned of Evolutionary Astrology and Pluto: The Journey of the Soul by Jeffrey Wolf Green early in 1997 when I was taking an astrology class and became fascinated with the planet Pluto. Even though I thought I knew where I was headed when I signed up for the correspondence course in September of that year, it is only in retrospect that I began to more fully see and understand the significance of the life-altering choice I had made.

I have also found that when people really commit themselves to a path of personal growth – in whatever ways that are meaningful to them – that the universe continues to open more doors to support that growth. And so not only was Wolf my astrology mentor, as an advanced disciple of Paramahansa Yogananda, he was also my spiritual teacher. It didn’t take long in my studies to then be reunited with my guru, Yogananda, as well.

As I progressed in both the evolutionary astrology classes and the teachings of Yogananda thru the lessons from Self-Realization Fellowship, I realized that the principles of evolutionary astrology are firmly rooted in and reflective of the teachings of Yogananda and his translation and interpretation of the Bhagavad Gita. Evolutionary Astrology very simply translates the overall teachings of how a soul evolves into a personal framework for real individual soul growth.

When, in 2004, Wolf found it necessary to retire, he lovingly guided me to another loving soul and advanced disciple of Yogananda who he trusted, Tayo, who is my current spiritual teacher.

Due to personal health issues, I’ve retired from doing astrology, Reiki and hypnotherapy, but I remain active as a Council Member of the School of Evolutionary Astrology, assembling and editing EA materials, and writing my blog.
